For nearly 30 years Michael’s drama work has seen him perform the role of Musical Director for many drama groups in the Norfolk/Suffolk region with shows as varied as Annie, the musical, a Songs From Broadway & West End summer season special to a musical interpretation of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream featuring music of the 60’s.

Michael has been MD for three National Operatic & Dramatic Association award winning musicals; firstly Godspell in 2000 (Best Production, Eastern Region (area 5) then Moby Dick – The Musical in 2004, (Best Musical, Eastern Region (area 5) both productions with the now disbanded South Norfolk based drama group Spotlight Players of which Michael was a founder member. His latest NODA award being in 2007 for Best Production, Eastern Region (area 6) for the outstanding production of Jekyll & Hyde staged by the Mere Players also based in South Norfolk.
