Overture
Michael’s drama work continues to go from strength to strength having performed the role of Musical Director for many drama groups in the Norfolk/Suffolk region with shows as varied as Annie, the musical to a musical interpretation of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream featuring music of the 60’s.
Michael has been MD for three National Operatic & Dramatic Association award winning musicals; firstly Godspell in 2000 (Best Production, Eastern Region (area 5) then Moby Dick – The Musical in 2004, (Best Musical, Eastern Region (area 5) both productions with the South Norfolk based drama group Spotlight Players of which Michael is a founder member. His latest NODA award being in 2007 for Best Production, Eastern Region (area 6) for the outstanding production of Jekyll & Hyde staged by the Mere Players also based in South Norfolk.
Michael has worked as MD for Diss based drama group the Mere Players for over 15 years and in that time has directed musicals 
such as Guys & Dolls, Me & My Girl, CHESS and the NODA award winning Jekyll & Hyde as well as many Pantomimes and musical reviews including the very successful Songs From Stage & Screen which saw him using the new Yamaha Stagea ELS – 01C for the first time to great acclaim.
